Product Description
The VRM-1Ghz video receiver is designed with a single-mode fiber pigtailed broadband receiver diode. Southwold¡¦s experienced RF expertise has implemented a low-noise impedance matched broadband photodiode and RF amplification circuitry. The device receives optical analog carriers, as well as digital signals carriers. The receiver module is capable of handling up to 77 NTSC analog broadcast singles plus more than 30 channels of digital carriers. The wide bandwidth supports the delivery of up to 110 CATV analog signals including HDTV broadcast. Southwold¡¦s VRM exhibits excellent distortion performance with values well above standards over the entire bandwidth and temperature specifications (40 MHz ~ 1 Ghz, ¡V40 ¢XC to +85 ¢XC). Southwold¡¦s state of the art impedance-match circuitry between the photo-detector and RF amplification stages resolves a number of OEM design obstacles with very low typical noise performance value, not exceeding 4.5 pA/OHz. The VRM-1Ghz video receiver can be used in both 1310 nm and 1550 applications in any point of the optical network.
