Design Team
Southwold engineering humble beginning started in the 1980s when a customer came to us to build a ¡§pig-tailed device¡¨ called matching transformer. That was the beginning of Southwold¡¦s first step into broadband device manufacturing. Starting with simple 300 ohm to 75-ohm impedance matching transformer then onto the line passives and drop amplifiers.
Through the years the CATV industry has seen its growth as a secondary television program provider into a dominant player as the future of multi-media medium. Today, Southwold has become an integral part of the broadband future. Southwold is currently designing and manufacturing optical receiver for the HFC system in United States. As well as various two-way active and passive devices for the access portion of tomorrow¡¦s broadband network. Fast product introduction to a market is the key to market success. In order to achieve the short development cycle our RF engineers utilizes our modularize engineering profile to help our customer achieve short product to market timeline
